SCHOLA CANTORUM OF SANTA FE - ANCIENT MUSIC

What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to attend a concert by the Schola Cantorum of Santa Fe - a singing ensemble that performed in the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe  on Sunday evening. They sang sacred and ancient Christmas music of the Renaissance and haunting Gregorian chants.

The ten, talented members of this charming group share the historic music of the Roman Catholic Church through its concerts and outreach programs. Each of their songs had a "story" so you learned a bit about the composer or the lyrics or the historic context of the time.

And their voices filled the church - a perfect stage for their
beautiful and ancient sounds.
